The atelier
The atelier is two rooms on the third floor of a corner building in the 8th. Six people. The lace arrives in eleven-metre rolls and is cut by hand, because a machine cannot follow a scallop and will not stop pulling.
Materials
Calais and Chantilly lace from two workshops in the north, both of which will only sell to us in runs of forty. Mulberry silk from a weaver in Como who answers by fax. Satin is double-faced, never brushed. Every strap that touches skin is lined.
Appointments
The showroom receives by appointment, Tuesday to Saturday. A fitting takes forty minutes, is free, and does not oblige you to buy anything. Book by phone or by email; we answer within a day.
